Mestre Ferradura (@ferradura) has amazing work in person and online (check all the links below). He has been helping many people in Brazil, including the homeless, and hundreds of children from economically disadvantaged.
Mestre Ferradura is pedagogue, president of the Brazilian Institute of Capoeira-Education and director of the Project Brincadeira de Angola.
During this conversation with Mestre Ferradura, we talk a little about his Capoeira story, about how and why he put his work together, with many Capoeiristas around his city, focusing more on the person and Capoeira itself, without looking for Capoeira groups, no Capoeira styles, only Capoeira!
When we actually work united as a Capoeira community, we can really create a huge impact in our local communities, helping each other, and collaborating, forgetting about the group, Capoeira styles, and even Capoeira levels. I have seen it myself, and I can honestly tell you that Capoeira grows and helps so many people when we are actually together, not saying it in a social media post, but actually supporting and be there for each other!
