This is how we like to plan for our Capoeira trips, to keep us organized, and to manage budget, time, and distance! These are the questions we ask ourselves so we can organize our ideas and execute them! All these points are connected one with another, if one of them doesn’t work that means I have to rethink to see if it can improve or just change plans! 1- Budget:
Transportation:
- Is it Driving?
- Is it Flight?
Event fees: - Can I assist full event (because of work) and how much is a full event?
- Is there early bird or group pricing? Because I will register early to take advantage of this.
- Food:
I have an average price per meal that can help me manage my money better.
Extras:
Can I buy extra stuff for sale at events?
2- Time:
- Do I know about this event 1 year, 6 months, 3 months, or 1 month in advance? – The more time I have to plan my travels, the better. This can determine how I can manage my time with my job and classes situation. I do not travel to events with 1 month notice time!
3- Distance:
- If events are longer than 5 hours drive I might flight
- If events are within 5 hours drive, it is also fun to drive and enjoy the drive!
